SisterHood of the RedNeck Riviera 1

I am fortunate to be a resident of the Redneck Riviera, Panama City Beach, Florida, home to the world's most beautiful beaches. Living here was a dream from the time I was a young child. I grew up in Southwest, Georgia near Columbus.  My grandparents brought me to these beautiful beaches as a youngster when a car could be driven directly onto the beach and only "mom and pop" hotels were scattered along Front Beach Road aka Miracle Strip.  The Redneck Riviera is where I fell in love at 16 (for a week) with a blonde haired boy named Sam from North Georgia. The Redneck Riviera is where I brought my baby son, now 37 years old, to the beach for the first time and when he was older where we came to camp and fish at St Andrews State Park.  My husband, Dave, also from Columbus, Georgia, remembers being on holiday at PCB partying too much and having to be located by his Marine Corps recruiter and placed on the bus to Parris Island.  After years in Southern California with my now retired Marine, a Vietnam and Gulf War veteran, my dream for our place of retirement in Panama City Beach came to be in 2008. Dave and I along with our 2 Golden Retrievers, Scout and Annie, and little Yorkie, Musette, are blessed to live and privileged to now be permanent residents of the Redneck Riviera, one mile from the beach and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville where we love sharing our home with family and friends to make lasting memories and for me to now be able to share my creative art of beach photograpy and poetry with all I can.
